At PT Link Physical Therapy, we believe great physical therapy combines expert, hands-on care with innovative technology. That’s why we offer advanced treatment options like the Neubie® and Winback BACK4 as part of individualized physical therapy programs.
These technologies allow our physical therapists to address pain, muscle function, mobility, neuromuscular control, and recovery in ways that can complement traditional physical therapy techniques.
Whether you’re recovering from an injury or surgery, dealing with chronic pain, or working to regain strength and mobility, our therapists will determine whether these technologies may be appropriate for your treatment plan.
Neubie® Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation
The Neubie is an advanced electrical stimulation device designed to work with the body’s neuromuscular system.
Unlike conventional approaches that focus only on the location of pain, the Neubie can be incorporated into movement and therapeutic exercise while a physical therapist works to identify and address areas of neuromuscular dysfunction.
How Can the Neubie Help?
Depending on your condition and treatment goals, Neubie-assisted physical therapy may be used to support:
- Neuromuscular re-education
- Muscle activation and recruitment
- Strength and mobility
- Pain management
- Improved movement patterns
- Post-operative rehabilitation
- Recovery following musculoskeletal injuries
- Swelling management
- Return to activity and athletic performance

The Neubie may be incorporated into physical therapy programs for patients experiencing:

Neuromuscular Rehabilitation
Because the Neubie can be used for neuromuscular re-education, it may also be incorporated into rehabilitation programs for certain neurological conditions and injuries when clinically appropriate.
Winback BACK4 Therapy
The Winback BACK4 gives our therapists another innovative way to address pain, mobility, muscle function, and recovery.
Winback uses multiple forms of therapeutic energy—including TECAR, Hi-TENS, and Hi-EMS—allowing your therapist to select and combine different frequencies based on the tissues being treated and your individual rehabilitation goals.
One of the unique benefits of Winback is its ability to be integrated directly into hands-on physical therapy and active exercise.
What Is TECAR Therapy?
TECAR stands for Transfer of Capacitive and Resistive Energy.
This non-invasive technology uses high-frequency current to create therapeutic effects within the body’s tissues. Depending on the treatment settings used, therapists can target different tissue depths and types, including muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments, and joints.
For many patients, treatment produces a comfortable warming sensation while the therapist performs manual therapy, stretching, or movement.
Benefits of Winback Therapy
Winback may be incorporated into physical therapy to help:
- Reduce pain
- Improve mobility and range of motion
- Reduce muscle tension
- Support circulation and vascularization
- Improve muscle recruitment
- Complement soft-tissue and manual therapy
- Support rehabilitation following injury or surgery
- Improve comfort during therapeutic movement and exercise
- Support athletic recovery and return to activity
